Color and movement

I have been exploring color with pastels. They are pure pigment and it's exciting to use such strong colours and to try to find a balance with  various colours, complementary and not. They were blank when using one colour only, and still too quiet using two. With the use of the movement lines form apears and makes the pictures more dynamic. Is color able to be free of form? Is movement connected intrinsically to color?
