The art of ageing

Wigs, wit and an all-female last supper: Marjorie Salvaterra's theatrical portraits speak about ageing and the female experience. Beauty in the ageing process has strength, will, feminist ideals holding ground. I find myself in this category, thinking of beauty, change, ageing and how to keep my ideals in an ever shifting environment. Finding a space where,  'joyfully imperfect life matters," is the task of this age. Salvaterra's beautiful images are of real women in the journey of their lives, where they show all and "wear their skin without apology." (Roxane Gay) Poignant article and strong and delightful photographs.
