a damn good painter

I don't know why, but it seems that I somehow missed finding out about the painter Lee Krasner. She was a colourist, an abstract expressionist, and helped Pollock become famous (see How Lee Krasner made Jackson Pollock a star). Maybe it's because she was a woman, but she got lost on the way and let the man progress. Would that still happen today? How many women artists do we not know enough about? Will we ever get out of this male dominated societal imbalance!
