I discovered Francoise Gilot and her love story with art and Picasso. It is fascinating that so many female artists are coming to the foreground now and that we are seeing just how much they influenced the men around them. Picasso’s biographer John Richardson said, “Picasso took from her rather more than she took from him.” 

She wrote about her life with Picasso in her memoir, Life with Picasso.
