Visual notes

I've been travelling in Italy recently and I've been observing how my creativity changes. There is generally more input and less output. As always I brought with me a tiny watercolour case and sketchbook. I find it's useful to have this as a possible creative outlet for digesting new impressions while travelling. My paintings on this trip are abstract and deal with mental states, organic natural forms, and are often a response to outside influences. The one here was a visual response to the sound of Italian summer, the cicadas incessant call.
